Month Theme: Explosion

Topic: The Speed of the Sound

Scripture Reading: Acts 2:1-10

Main Text:
Acts 2:2
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

The sound like a wind rushed into the space the disciples occupied – it was like a rushing mighty wind (Acts 2:1-2). The sound did not “crawl” into the house. It did not “walk” into it. The supernatural explosion of sound did not even “run” into the midst of the disciples. It “rushed” in with the speed of a wind. Speed is one of the major characteristics of the explosion of God’s power.

The manifestations of the Holy Ghost are quick and spontaneous. Our spirits must be quick to catch the moves of God. This generation of believers is a prophetic one. Prophets are noted for seeing visions and dreaming in rapid fashion. The prophet Elijah ran in front of Ahab’s chariot to Jezreel – he was faster than a chariot (1 Kings 18:45-46). The Holy Ghost is propelling us to overtake chariots.

God instructed Habakkuk to write down the vision so those who read it may run to fulfil (Habakkuk 2:2-3). It takes fast and forceful people to fulfil prophetic agenda. Those who are slow struggle to fulfil God’s plans for humanity. We are in the days of the fulfilment of endtime prophecies and we cannot be slow about it.

Prayer: Pray that you’ll operate with prophetic speed in the year of explosion.
