Month Theme: Explode

Topic: The Secret of Obedience

Scripture Reading: Acts 9:1-9

Main Text:
Acts 9:6
6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

Jesus Christ commanded Saul to arise and go into the city of Damascus and he would be told what to do (Acts 9:5-9). He did not make suggestions to the persecutor of the Church but commanded him to arise and go into the city. Saul trembled as Jesus Christ enlisted him into the army of the Lord. He requested to know what to do. His obedience led to his explosion with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our explosion will require obedience. The angel of the Lord commanded Philip to arise and go.
Then the Spirit told him to go near and join himself to the chariot (Acts 8:26-29). His obedience led to the salvation of the Ethiopian. Ananias was sent to Saul to recover his eyesight (Acts 9:10-11). Peter was an obedient candidate of revival (Acts 10:19-21).

Swift and strict obedience leads to explosion in the power of the Holy Ghost. Those who are hesitant don’t experience God’s favour in ministry. Jesus Christ commanded the disciples to go to the world with the Gospel. They were not supposed to be limited to Jerusalem. The scope of their ministry was worldwide but not local.

Prayer: Pray for the humility and grace, to be obedient to divine instruction.
