Acts 2:1
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Time breeds togetherness; time bonds believers. On the day of Pentecost, the disciples were “all with one accord in one place” (Acts 2:1).
The disciples’ togetherness resulted in the spiritual explosion of God’s power. Miracles and the harvest of souls accompanied their spiritual efforts (Acts 4:31-33). The Psalmist mentioned how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity (Psalm 133:1-3). Spiritual power and supernatural harvests explode in the atmosphere of togetherness.
The modern-day Church must learn to tarry in God’s presence.
We must spend time with one another without the distractions of carnal pursuits. We must pay a lot of attention to the importance of time. It is the price to pay for spiritual power. People who are in a hurry cannot tarry long enough in God’s presence to carry His power.
Prayer: Pray for the unity of your local church and the Body of Christ.
