28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
God is a giver. The greatest gift God gave humankind after the ascension of Jesus Christ to Heaven is the Holy Ghost. God’s promise to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh is one of the most significant blessings to human kind. It happened on the day of Pentecost but Joel prophesied that God would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh (Joel 2:28-29).
The Holy Ghost’s omnipresence, omnipotence and omniscience are manifested in His ability to fall upon “all flesh” and empower them. Believers must receive the fulfilment of Joel’s prophecy in this time of unprecedented explosion of the power of God. The Holy Ghost is God’s gift, and He is manifested for our profit (1 Corinthians 12:7).
The keys to the outpouring are:
• Repentance — repentance is a requirement for the outpouring (Acts 3:9).
• Prayer — if we would ask in prayer, God will hear us (Zechariah 10:1).
Prayer: Ask for an outpouring of the Holy Ghost in your home and church.
