Month Theme: Explode
Topic: The Inclusion of Gentiles
Scripture Reading: Mark 16:1-16, Galatians 1:1-9
Main Text:
Mark 16:15
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
A Gentile is one belonging to any nation or people group other than the Jewish people. Spiritually speaking, Gentiles are those who are:
• Unknown — Not counted, non-existent.
• Unclean — Sinful, contaminated.
• Undeserving — Not having the required skills or qualifications.
During His early ministry, Jesus Christ directed His disciples not to preach to the Gentiles (Matthew 10:5-8). On a certain occasion, Jesus Christ initially declined the request of the woman of Canaan, in the coast of Tyre and Sidon, to deliver her daughter from the oppression of demons (Matthew 15:24-28). However, when the time came for the Gentiles to receive the Gospel, it couldn’t be stopped (Romans 1:16-17).
It was not surprising for the preaching of the Gospel to explode among the Jews but to the gentles it was a miracle and demonstration of rare love. Some may be first to be saved or delivered but you will also be reached – TO THE JEW FIRST AND ALSO TO THE GREEK. Don’t exclude yourself. The door is open for the preacher to preach to every creature and for every creature to receive the explosion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 16:9).
Prayer: Ask God to raise more people in the Body of Christ who will preach the true Gospel of Christ.
