Ephesians 2:14
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
A buster is a person or thing that breaks something apart. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the explosive barrier buster. Jesus Christ has broken down the middle wall of partition among us (Ephesians 2:14). Jesus Christ is the buster/breaker of barriers.
The Jews despised and discriminated against the Gentiles and tried to disqualify them from the blessing of the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The walls of division among the people of the world are so high that some races and classes of people would have been excluded from salvation. Today, discrimination makes some people throw others out of airplanes, schools, restaurants, jobs and even churches.
However, the impact of Jesus Christ the barrier buster/breaker on believers is evident.
1. PROXIMITY — But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).
2. POWERS — Powers refers to the ultimate state of glory — immortality, incorruption, perfection in holiness and freedom from all evil (Hebrews 6:4–5).
3. PROSPERITY — According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).
