Month Theme: Release
Topic: The GREAT JUBILEE
Scripture Reading: Leviticus 25:1-15
Main Text:
Leviticus 25:10
10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
We are in the days of the Jubilee. Our sins are forgiven, we are free from bondage, our diseases are healed and our lost possessions are restored to us. In concluding this book, I wish to admonish believers that we have reasons to shout. The sound of Jubilee is loud and clear. We cannot continue looking defeated. We are not guilty rebels any longer. Our sins, no matter how grave, are forgiven. The words of Jesus Christ – “neither do I condemn thee” – are re-echoing in our time. It is wrong to act as if we are slaves of satan. We are free from sin, sickness and demonic oppression. Ancestral curses are broken. The forces of witchcraft and divination have lost their hold on us. Human manipulation and control are broken.
The apostle Paul painted a clear picture of the translation of the believer in this world (2 Corinthians 6:14-18). This translation is a spiritual movement from a realm of bondage and darkness into a realm of righteousness and light. We have received so much from God in this dispensation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, this is not the end. The best is yet to come. At the sound of the last trumpet we shall be ushered into God’s eternal Kingdom and the challenges we face in the flesh will disappear. We are experiencing the Jubilee in Christ on earth but the GREAT JUBILEE will come when He appears at His second coming (Revelation 7:13-17).
Preachers must sound the Jubilee. Preaching and teaching that take us back into slavery and bind us with guilt and condemnation must give way to sound doctrine. Believers must discover the season of the Jubilee and refuse to be bound by doctrines of retrogression. JESUS CHRIST PAID THE PENALTY FOR OUR SINS. WHEN HE SAID, “IT IS FINISHED”, IT WAS INDEED FINISHED.
Prayer: Thank God for your JUBILEE!
