Month Theme: Explode

Topic: The Grace of Christ

Scripture Reading: Galatians 1:1-9

Main Text:
Galatians 1:6
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Compromised and corrupted versions of the Gospel should be rejected by the Body of Christ. It is possible to listen to some preachers and watch them over long periods but never hear them preach the real Gospel of Jesus Christ. They preach things that are like the doctrines the apostle Paul called “another gospel” (Galatians 1:6-9).

The Greek word “grace” in Galatians 1:6 is ‘charis’ meaning kindness, favour, concession and gracious. Some preachers pervert the Gospel of Jesus Christ – they preach another Gospel. The word “pervert” in Galatians 1:7 means to turn around, corrupt and distort. Watch out for another messenger – preacher or angel. Watch out for another message – salvation by works.

The Gospel in its pure form is simple and free of charge. The message of the Cross is that Jesus Christ took our place in death and punishment. The message of the Cross is foolishness to those who perish but to us, it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18).

Prayer: Thank God for His grace.
