Topic: The Essence of Timing — Antagonism

Acts 2:1
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
The essence of timing refers to the impact of time on spiritual ability and spiritual events. Timing empowers the believers to obtain spiritual results from God (Acts 1:12-15). Timing involves the rightness of time and the duration of time. The day of Pentecost was the right day and the disciples waited long enough for it to arrive.
Antagonism is active hostility or opposition. Sometimes we must wait for the time to arrive because of spiritual interference. Waiting for the right time may not always be long but sometimes it takes long for the move of God to set it. Daniel waited for twenty-one days for an angel (probably Gabriel) to arrive with the message (Daniel 10:12). Apostle Paul told the Thessalonians that his inability to come to them was because satan hindered him (1 Thessalonians 2:17-20).
The explosion of the Holy Ghost will depend on the ability of God’s people to get the timing of the Spirit right. May you not miss the timing.
Prayer: Pray for the grace to move in God’s timing.
