1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
The essence of timing refers to the impact of time on spiritual ability and spiritual events. Timing empowers the believer to obtain spiritual results from God. The disciples got their timing right and the Holy Ghost located them in the Upper Room (Acts 1:12-15). Timing involves the rightness of time and the duration of time. The day of Pentecost was the right day and the disciples waited long enough for it to arrive.
The spirit of agreement is essential for God to answer our prayers (Matthew 18:18-20). The composition of the one hundred and twenty disciples in one place made it necessary for them to tarry a while for the Holy Ghost to arrive. The disciples reacted differently to the arrest, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. These disciples of different temperamental constitutions and spiritual capacity needed time in God’s presence to attain the spiritual level (agreement) to trigger the explosion of God’s power.
The disciples were of one heart and of one soul (Acts 4:32-35). The explosion of the Holy Ghost will depend on the ability of God’s people to get the timing of the Spirit right.
Prayer: Pray for the grace to move in God’s timing.
