Month Theme: The Anointing

Topic: The Audacious Anointing

Scripture Reading: Psalm 92:10-15

Main Text: Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Something is said to be audacious when it is willing to take unreasonable risk, it is brazen-faced, and lacks respect for things that are against its actions. Spiritual virtues are audacious – faith, holiness, obedience and the anointing are audacious. They defy opposition and operate against logic to obtain the results they desire. This book reveals the audacious attitude of the anointing. The anointing is audacious, abrasive, adventurous, aggressive, assertive and authoritative.

The cases of the anointing in the Bible all point to the fact that it is audacious. Jesus Christ the anointed Son of God operated in an audacious anointing. The traditions of men and the hypocritical orchestrations of the Pharisees could not stop the Messiah from fulfilling His mission on earth. His anointing broke resistance, liberated captives and healed incurable diseases (Luke 4:18-19).

Jesus Christ was anointed to do good and destroy the works of satan by healing those who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). No one can destroy the works of satan without being audacious. The Psalmist said his horn was exalted like the horn of the unicorn when he was anointed with fresh oil (Psalm 92:10-15). One of the main functions of the audacious anointing is to liberate those who are oppressed. Jesus Christ, Moses and David used the anointing of the Holy Ghost to break the yoke and set people free (Isaiah 10:27). May you walk in the audacious Anointing.

Prayer Pray for the grace and boldness to face the wicked and deliver the weak from destruction.
