Month Theme: Giving and Receiving
Topic: Sustain a Constant Flow of Gifts
Scripture Reading:
Philippians 4:10-23
Main Text:
Philippians 4:15-16
15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
The Philippians “sent once and again unto his necessities”. They did not support Paul on a single occasion and thereafter did nothing. These faithful givers put the apostle on their agenda and kept him alive to fulfil God’s mission for his life. The ability to sustain a constant flow of gifts is vital to the long-term success of ministry.
The constant supply of the apostle’s needs depended on the Philippians’ willingness and Paul’s ability to motivate them to give. It is imperative to cooperate with those who give to us to maintain a constant flow of resources. Isaiah’s prophecy about the restoration of Zion in the second advent of Christ promises a glorious state of the Church in which the gates of Zion “shall not be shut day nor night” (Isaiah 60:11, 19-20). This means a constant flow of people and wealth into Zion.
The constant flow of resources keeps your ministry and business alive. It keeps you shinning and making impact. When you stop receiving, you start dwindling. Praying for those who give to you is a sure way of sustaining the flow of gifts into your life and ministry.
Prayer:
- Pray for those who give to you, that God will sustain their health and sources of income.
- Pray and declare that your sources of blessings will not dry up.
