Month Theme: Novel Disciples

Topic: Novel Disciples

Scripture Reading: Mark 1:1-28

Main Text:
Mark 1:27
27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

The Great Commission to make disciples of all nations was triggered when the disciples were filled with the Holy Ghost in the Upper Room (Matthew 28:18-20). God brought the candidates of the revival to them – they came from other nations. They went back to the nations with the power they encountered in the Jerusalem (Acts 2:1-11).

The Church must be empowered to raise novel disciples in these last days:
1. Movement — Go ye therefore – to make novel disciples we must be willing to move and obey the commandment. Our movement must be quick, strategic and purposeful.
2. Making — And teach (make disciples) – we must have the power, wisdom, grace, knowledge and ability to make novel disciples. New methods and higher levels of the anointing are needed to make disciples.

God promises to do new things (Isaiah 43:18-19). Every existing thing gives birth to a new thing in a revival. The world should get ready for a new Church, new/novel disciples, new ministers, new miracles and new exploits.

Prayer: Ask God to empower the Church to make disciples.
