Month Theme: Holy Ghost
Topic: Making Omnipresence Count
Scripture Reading: Psalm 139:1-10
Main Text:
Psalm 139:7
7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
The Psalmist described the omnipresence of the Holy Ghost in Psalm 139:7-10. He could not flee His presence – the Spirit of God was everywhere he went. The mention of heaven (heights), hell (depths) and horizon – the uttermost parts of the sea – (breath) tells us that the Holy Ghost is omnipresent – He covers the entire distance and all directions.
The omnipresence of the Holy Ghost made the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ possible. The points below give us the idea of how to make the omnipresence of the Holy Ghost count in the impact of the ministry across the globe.
1. Faith — Faith is important, if we will benefit from the omnipresence of the Holy Ghost. Without faith, it is impossible to please God or the Holy Ghost (Hebrews 11:6).
2. Faithfulness — Faithfulness on our part is necessary. The Holy Ghost is our helper. He aids us in what we’re faithfully engaged in.
3. Finances — Money cannot buy or influence the spreading of the Holy Ghost across the globe. But it influences the human beings He indwells and the things He uses to influence people’s lives.
Consider the distance modern technology like google maps, internet, skype, Facebook or Instagram cover. The faith, faithfulness and finances of the world make these possible. Sometimes, the children of this world are wiser than the children of light (Luke 16:8). But it is time the children of light take their place.
Prayer: Thank God for the omnipresence of the Holy Ghost.
