Month Theme: Release
Topic: Look Outside the Prison II
Scripture Reading: Matthew 11:1-10
Main Text:
Matthew 11:4
4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
We are in the season of the Jubilee. The time of unspeakable freedom and joy is now though the evidence on the ground may point to the contrary. Like John the Baptist, believers are looking within their walls only and getting depressed – Look out of your prison because there is good news outside (John 11:4-6).
Jesus answered and said unto the people who came to Him from John, “Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see” – beyond John’s prison walls a great revival was taking place. Continuing from yesterday’s devotional, 7 features of the revival amidst covid-19 pandemic are:
1. PERCEPTION
2. PROGRESS
3. PURITY
4. PURPOSE
5. POWER
“…The dead are raised up…”
The power to raise dead ministries, families, businesses and individuals is at work. Ministries and businesses have come back to life.
6. PREACHING
“…and the poor have the Gospel preached to them.”
The Gospel is preached through many avenues. Many people have explored new means of sharing the Gospel.
7. PERSISTENCE
“And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.”
It isn’t everybody who is fainting and giving up. Many are persisting. You cannot give up. Look out of the prison.
Noah sent a dove to look at what was happening outside the prison of the ark. Focus on the Holy Ghost; He knows what is happening outside your prison.
Prayer: Pray and declare your release from any form of bondage.
