Month Theme: Holy Ghost
Topic: Ignorant Worshippers
Scripture Reading: Acts 17:20-25
Main Text:
Acts 17:23
23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
Many believers don’t deal with the Holy Ghost according to the revelation that He is God. The revelation that the Holy Ghost is God releases unimaginable power in the Body of Christ. We must know and experience the Holy Ghost as God. Apostle Peter, while rebuking Ananias, revealed that the Holy Ghost is God (Acts 5:3-4).
The Athenians worshipped “the God” they did not know and ended up in idolatry (Acts 17:22-25). THEY WORSHIPPED GOD IGNORANTLY. Paul and the believers WORSHIPPED GOD BY REVELATION that He is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. The Holy Ghost must be similarly worshipped.
Like the Athenians, many believers are worshipping God, but have failed to know the God they worship. We need to trust God to worship Him by revelation.
Prayer: Ask the Holy Ghost to help you worship God by revelation.
