Month Theme: Explode

Topic: From “Go ye” to “Come Ye”

Scripture Reading: Mark 16:14-20

Main Text:
Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Jesus Christ’s personal ministry on earth shook the land of Israel and beyond. The power of His preaching and healing ministry compelled people to bring the sick from Syria to be healed (Matthew 4:23-25). “It is not easy to fix the exact bounds of Syria in the time of our Saviour. It was, perhaps, the general name for the country lying between the Euphrates on the east, and the Mediterranean on the west; and between Mount Taurus on the north, and Arabia on the south.” (Albert Barnes Commentary).

Jesus Christ commanded His disciples to “go into all the world” and preach the Gospel (Mark 16:15-16). However, when He did not go to Syria, Syria came to Him. His ministry was not only a “go ye” ministry but also a “come ye” ministry. As He went to many, He made room for many others to come to Him.

We must use the power of miracles, the Word and technology to let people come to us. We must mature in the things of God, in the Word and allow the Holy Ghost to move in our meetings. People can come to us online or in-person — our environment and technological know-how should not hinder their coming.

Prayer: Pray for your local church and churches around that God will provide facilities and equipment to enable them reach people at places they cannot go to.
