Scripture Reading: Acts 1:1-10

Acts 1:8
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

An explosion is a large-scale, rapid or spectacular expansion or bursting out or forth. An explosion is noisy and spectacular. After resurrecting from the dead, Jesus Christ promised His disciples that they would receive power when the Holy Ghost comes upon them – this is the endtime EXPLOSION (Acts 1:6-8).

Jesus Christ’s disciples demanded to know when the oppression would end. Many believers, like the disciples, always seek to know the “how”, “why”, “when”, etc. of problems, instead of focusing on the power available to them to bring the solution. Though details are sometimes important, the Messiah was more interested in the advent of the Holy Ghost. Once, His disciples sought to know who sinned that a blind man was born so. Jesus Christ told them nobody sinned, and then drew their focus to the power available to heal the man so that God’s name would be glorified (John 9:1-3).

Today, the world is struggling to know when and how the coronavirus pandemic would end. Various individuals and organisations are predicting that it would persist from a few months to several years. God’s priority however, is for the Church to SPREAD THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST TO THE WORLD.

Prayer: Pray that you will be an effective conduit for the distribution of the power of the Holy Ghost.
