Month Theme: Explosion

Topic: Explosion

Scripture Reading: Acts 1:1-10

Main Text:
Acts 1:8
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The covid-19 pandemic did not postpone, reschedule, negate, annul or cancel our Jubilee (Leviticus 25:10). The pandemic was a TEST of the Jubilee but not a CANCELATION of the Jubilee. The period of the seeming siege is about to result in a period of the supernatural explosion of the Holy Ghost.

An explosion is a large-scale, rapid or spectacular expansion or bursting out or forth. An explosion is noisy and spectacular. Three things stand out in Acts 1:6-8 about the explosion of the Holy Ghost:
1.PRESSURE
Israel was dominated by the Romans just as we have been under the pressure of Covid-19 (2 Corinthians 1:8-10).
2. POWER
Jesus Christ’s disciples demanded to know when the oppression would end. The Messiah was however, more interested in the advent of the Holy Ghost than the timeline for the political and physical emancipation of Israel.
3. PURPOSE
The purpose of the power of the Holy Ghost is to be witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ in every aspect of life and in every place — Jerusalem, Judaea and the uttermost part of the world.

After His resurrection, Jesus Christ appeared to His disciples and directed them to tarry in the city of Jerusalem until they were endued with power from on high (Luke 24:48-49). May we walk in the power of the Holy Ghost throughout the year.

Prayer: Declare that,
“In 2021, I am exploding with the power of the Holy Ghost, to be a witness for Jesus Christ:
In my family.
In my church.
In the Body of Christ.
And in the world.
AMEN.”
