Month Theme: Explode

Topic: Explode

Scripture Reading: Mark 16:10-18

Main Text:
Acts 1:8
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

In Acts 1:8, Jesus Christ promised His disciples that they would receive power when the Holy Ghost comes upon them and they would be His witnesses. The Greek word for power in the above scripture reference is ‘dunamis’ which means miraculous power, ability, might, strength, virtue or violence. The power of the Holy Ghost can be described as the explosion of the Holy Ghost.

To explode is a verb which means to burst or shatter violently and noisily because of rapid combustion, excessive internal pressure, or other process. The Holy Ghost makes believers explode with God’s power, wisdom and holiness. We are not a silent or gentle force but an explosive army (Matthew 11:11-12). Jesus Christ commanded His disciples to go into the entire world and preach the Gospel to every creature – He commanded them to go into the world and explode (Mark 16:15-18).

The disciples experienced the explosion of the power of the Holy Ghost when Jesus Christ commanded them to go and preach to all nations. The signs that followed them and those who believed in the Gospel they preached were the proofs of the explosion of the Holy Ghost in the nations of the world.

Prayer: Pray that you will explode in the power of the Holy Ghost, in all you do.
