Month Theme: Release

Topic: Binding and Loosing 1

Scripture Reading: Matthew 18:1-18

Main Text:
Matthew 18:18
18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

The statements, “thou shalt cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound…” and “shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land”, mean the people of the Israel had the responsibility to sound the trumpet (Leviticus 25:9). The Jubilee trumpet did not sound on its own accord. We err when we think things can happen even if we do nothing – we must proclaim our Jubilee before it happens. If the time of the Jubilee arrived but no one sounded the trumpet, there would be no freedom.

Blowing the horn of Jubilee is comparable with “binding the strong man” and “loosing the blessings of God upon the land”. Heaven works in partnership with the earth to release our blessings (Matthew 18:18 AMP). What we “bind” on earth is bound in Heaven. What we “forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful” is bound, including sin, sickness, curses, poverty, misery, and destruction.

Anything the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ paid for is forbidden in your life. Revoke the permit of satan to harass you. The apostle Peter bound the spirit of death when he raised Dorcas from the dead (Acts 9:36-41). He forbade death and declared it improper and unlawful.

Prayer: Pray and revoke any permit satan has to harass you.
