Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Don’t use the anointing to oppress people. You are not elevated to make people your footstools. God did not bring you where you are so that other people can become your slaves. The anointing should not be passive or oppressive. There is no passivity with the anointing. An anointed person must declare active hostility and opposition to the works of the enemy. Job used his anointing to touch other lives (Job 29:12-17).
The anointing does not make you a boss but a helper and an encourager. The influence of the anointing on your life should not drive others away but rather carry them along with you into your victories. Job’s life was a blessing to the poor. Orphans received his attention. Widows were beneficiaries of the grace on his life. Job’s understanding of the anointing is different from many contemporary people who say they’re anointed. These modern-day “anointed folks” avoid the helpless and only hang around people who have material things they can benefit from.
Widows must feel the impact of your anointing. Your anointing must reach those who cannot help themselves. Job saw the act of helping the needy as an act of righteousness – in Job 29:14, he said, he put on righteousness, and it clothed him. In this context, righteousness means to stand for the right cause.Anybody who cares is wearing a robe and a diadem of royalty. Royalty is not the act of receiving royalties but the act of dispensing retribution to the wicked who oppress the poor. It is the honour of kings to seek the welfare of the poor. Greatness which does not touch the hurting and the poor is greed.
Prayer Pray for humility to help the needy and weak with your anointing, rather than intimidate them.
