Month Theme: For This Purpose

Topic: Anointed for a Purpose

Scripture Reading: Acts 13:15-23

Main Text:
Acts 13:22
And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

God anoints you for a purpose. Purpose is the reason for the anointing. Without purpose the anointing is either wasted or abused. God anoints people for a purpose. You are anointed to serve God and touch people’s lives. Selfishness and greed are not attributes of the anointing. Jesus Christ was anointed for the poor, brokenhearted, captives, blind and bruised; it was all about others (Luke 4:18-19).

A powerful anointing produces supernatural results in others. God anointed King David, a man after His heart, to fulfil His will (Acts 13:22). He anointed him to enforce His rule of righteousness and bring His blessings upon Israel.

The anointing consecrates and empowers you for definite assignments, which you execute well. It eliminates struggling from your efforts and fills you with joy and peace as you serve God and humankind.

Prayer Pray that the Lord will order your steps as you walk in the anointing that you will not abuse it at any point.
