Acts 4:4
4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
The Body of Christ must explode in numbers – in the thousands. We must stop growing slowly and sparingly (Acts 4:3-4). 3000 souls were saved after the first set of preachings on the day of Pentecost and after healing a lame man in Acts 3, 5000 men were added. The number 5000 men in the above scripture reference is more than a mere number.
The weight of 5000 men represents the impact they make in Kingdom of God. It represents who they are, what they do and what they have. It is dangerous for the world to grow in numbers more than the Church does. 5000 men represents:
1. SOULS — A soul is the living being God created with a soul as His image to have dominion over the earth and for His love and pleasure (Acts 2:41, Revelation 4:11).
2. SPIRIT — Souls that are empowered by the Holy Ghost are loaded with spiritual gifts and spiritual fruit for building the Kingdom of God and destroying the kingdom of satan (Romans 12:5-6). 5000 souls represents 5000 gifted men and women.
3. SUBSTANCE — Men and women come into the Kingdom of God with their substance/silver and gold (Luke 8:2-3).
Those who have more souls win the war and possess the land. We must explode in numbers (Luke 14:31-32).
Prayer: Pray for your local church and the Body of Christ that there will be an explosion of souls.
