Month Theme: Holy Ghost

Topic: The Holy Ghost in the Upper Room II

Scripture Reading: Acts 2:1-10

Main Text:
Acts 2:4
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

We mentioned yesterday that a protagonist is defined as he leading character or one of the major characters in a play, film or novel; the main figure or one of the most prominent figures in a situation; chief character; champion of a particular cause or idea. The Holy Ghost was the protagonist in the Upper Room experience (Acts 2:1-4). Everything that happened there pointed to Him.

• The Waiting
• The Wind — The sound like a rushing mighty wind represented the force of the Holy Ghost. A wind is driving us. Workers and shepherds in the Body of Christ are fast and forceful (John 3:8).
• The Fire — The cloven tongues like fire represented the fieriness of the Holy Ghost. We are fiery. Something is burning inside us. A shepherd or worker in the Kingdom of God must be on fire (Romans 12:11).

The disciples were filled with the Holy Ghost. We are filled with the same Spirit (Romans 8:11-16; 2 Timothy 1:7). The Holy Ghost must be the protagonist in the gathering of believers. We must flow in the liberty of the Holy Ghost (2 Corinthians 3:17).

Prayer: Pray for the diligence and discipline to make the Holy Ghost your focus.
