Month Theme: Explosion

Topic: Unintended Empowerment

Scripture Reading: Acts 10:34-48

Main Text:
Acts 10:44
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

Unintended empowerment is when the person imparting the empowerment does not intend to do so. An example of a sudden explosion of the Holy Ghost occurred while Peter was preaching to Cornelius’ household. The Holy Ghost fell on them and they spoke in tongues and magnified God (Acts 10:44-48).

The sudden move of the Holy Ghost was so fast that the doubting Jews in the audience could not stop Peter from baptising the Gentiles who had just received the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sudden, spontaneous and unexpected manifestations of the Holy Ghost were common in the ministrations of the early disciples.

The process through which many believers receive impartations and blessings in the Body of Christ today is long and frustrating. “WHILE PETER YET SPAKE”, everything happened. Cornelius’ household received unintended empowerment. It was a sudden experience. God did not give the Jews the chance to interfere with His performance.

Prayer: Pray for the release of any blessing in the hand of another who doesn’t intend releasing it.
