Topic: The Power of His Resurrection

Philippians 3:10a
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, …

The resurrection is the triumphant and glorious victory for every believer. Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). He is coming again! The dead in Christ will be raised up, and those who are alive at His coming will be changed and receive new, glorified bodies (1 Thessalonians 4:13–18).

Why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ important? It proves who Jesus is. It demonstrates that God accepted Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf. It shows that God has the power to raise us from the dead. There is a realm of victorious living you can be in and there will be no satanic trap, prison, power or barrier that can stop you; not even doubt, fear and death. This is the realm of His resurrection.

Life in Christ from its beginning to end has to do with “surrender” and “newness” which is Resurrection. Until a believer gets to his garden of Gethsemane where he says – Not my will but let your will be done – he is yet to begin. The power to lay down your life produces the power of the resurrection (Ephesians 1:19-20).

There is tremendous power in resurrection but it begins with crucifixion. Crucifixion is the capital price for resurrection. It begins with yielding ones will (Romans 8:11). May you have an encounter with the power of His resurrection.
