Theme: Overcoming In the Evil Day
Topic: Put on the Whole Armour of God
Ephesians 6:11
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
The battle determines the weapon. A battle of words will require the tongue, like between David and Goliath (1 Samuel 17:43-47). Another battle may require swords, and others guns. Ephesians 6:12 clearly indicates that the conflict with satan is spiritual, and therefore no tangible weapons can be effectively employed against him and his minions. You need the whole armour of God in this battle.
We are not given a list of specific tactics satan will use. However, it is quite clear that when we follow all the instructions faithfully, we will be able to stand, and we will have victory regardless of satan’s strategy (Ephesians 6:11, 13). The days are evil, and it is so not because God is on vacation but because the enemy is furiously scheming against the Church to prevent us from living in all sufficiency. You are not permitted to be ignorant in these times (2 Corinthians 2:11).
It is suicidal to pick up a weapon you are not familiar with when confronted with a battle. Young David dropped the armour King Saul gave him, and used armour he wass familiar with (1 Samuel 17:38-40). The armour of God should be on you always; you should become skillful in it by reason of constant use. The Word of God must dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16). Satan does not announce battles. He will not give you time to look for your armour. Be in the whole armour of God always.
Prayer Assignment:
