Jesus Christ Is Praying for your Consecration

Theme: Unleashing the Power of Prayer

Topic: Jesus Christ Is Praying for your Consecration

John 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

The word “sanctify” in the above scripture reference also means to consecrate or set apart. Jesus Christ prayed for His disciples and for those who would, in the future, believe in God that we would be set apart to be sent by Him (John 17:18, 20). Jesus Christ has not left you alone to grope your way into fulfilling your purpose in life. He is praying for you to be particularly skilled for God’s purpose for your life.

The Word of God is the most potent agent for consecration and spiritual transformation. It’s entrance gives illumination and brings the childlike into maturity (Psalm 119:130). The Word of God separates a person from the sinful acts of the past and sets him or her on the pathway to walking in the way of the Lord (Psalm 119:9-11).

Jesus Christ is the Word of God in your heart. He teaches you the written Word through the Holy Ghost. He speaks the Rhema Word directly to you through the Holy Ghost. He also prays to the Father in heaven for your Consecration (Hebrews 7:25).

Prayer Assignment:
1. Pray for the grace to walk in the purpose of God for your life.

Scripture Reading: John 7:9-10, 14-21
